The legal framework
Oman’s Labour Law, issued by Royal Decree, governs private-sector employment including working hours, overtime, leave, termination, and end-of-service entitlement, administered by the Ministry of Labour.
Wage protection
Wage protection reporting requires employers to pay salaries through approved banking channels and report them to the Ministry of Labour. AmalOps produces the required file from payroll and tracks submission as part of the monthly close.
Social insurance
Social protection contributions apply to Omani nationals through the national scheme, with employer and employee shares tracked separately, and occupational cover extending more broadly. Treatment is applied automatically based on the employee record.
End of service
End-of-service entitlement is calculated under the framework established by the current Labour Law, tracked as a monthly accrual with the basis documented and reconciled to the finance provision rather than computed at termination.
Nationalisation reporting
Omanisation percentages are maintained from live payroll and employee data, reported per entity and function, with projection against planned recruitment and known departures.
