The legal framework
Bahrain’s Labour Law for the Private Sector governs employment terms including working hours, overtime, leave entitlements, termination, and leaving indemnity, administered by the Ministry of Labour.
Wage protection
Bahrain operates wage protection reporting through the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, requiring employers to pay wages through approved channels and report them. AmalOps produces the reporting file from payroll and reconciles it against actual disbursement.
Social insurance
Social Insurance Organisation contributions apply with different rates and coverage for Bahraini nationals and expatriate employees. AmalOps applies the correct category per employee and maintains the contribution register for reconciliation.
End of service
Leaving indemnity accrues on length of service under the applicable statutory formula, tracked as a live liability with the accrual basis documented and reconciled to the finance provision.
Nationalisation reporting
Bahrainisation ratios are calculated from live workforce data, with nationality and category breakdowns per entity and forward projection against planned hiring.
